This transcendent artist is singer, songwriter, lyricist, cancer survivor, activist and a fellow member of the LGBTQ community.
With hits like “come to my window” and “I’m I the only one”. Melissa solidified her stardom in the music scene, Earning her 15 Grammy nominations along the way, wining two of them, in 1993 and 1995. She also won an Academy award for best song “I need to wake up” from the film “An Inconvenient Truth”
In 2016, she released PULSE, a tribute song to the victims of the biggest mass shooting in U.S history. The song served as an anthem of hope and love for the LGBTQ community. It also served as a backdrop to a segment we created to honor each victim of the tragic shooting during 49 episode of our show.
