On today’s show we welcome Kyle Rodriguez from APNH, the longest AIDS service organization in the State of Connecticut. Kyle is the MPowerment Coordinator for a program of the same name in which through community outreach, aims to create safe spaces for people to socialize, network and develop supportive friendships. The program also helps guide those affected by HIV/AIDS and those that have friends and family that are find the resources and the help they need to navigate the many options available to us all.

On today’s dish we discuss queer discrimination within the LGBT communities, Canada’s efforts to help Chechnya refugees, Macklemore performed “Same Love” in front of 80,0000 Australians, making the case for love and equality at the rugby league final in Sydney on Sunday and we also discuss the situation in Azerbaijan and its LGBT citizens being arrested, beaten and medically examined.

Classic Vodka Gimlet
- 2 oz Vodka
- 11⁄4 oz (or to taste) Rose’s Lime Juice or homemade lime cordial.
Combine ingredients in a shaker, fill with ice. Shake for 8-10 seconds and strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice. Or serve up if you prefer. Garnish with a lime wheel.
