The Prospector Podcast

(RIDGEFIELD, CONNECTICUT) – Analysis and discussion of upcoming first-run releases is now available at your fingertips thanks to the latest Prospector creation – the Prospect Podcast! The Podcast is a biweekly movie review radio show, that showcases the mission of the Prospector Theater and informs community members about current and upcoming movies.

The Prospector Theater is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to providing meaningful employment to adults with disabilities through the operation of a first-run movie theater in Ridgefield, CT. Employees of the Theater – known as Prospects – are all paid for their hard work as they sparkle, shine, and transform their passions into professions. More than 200 Prospects have worked at the Theater over the last three years, working over 400,000 hours and earning more than $5.5MM in payroll!

Bijhan Clarke, longtime employee of the Theater, is the visionary behind the Prospect Podcast. Bijhan set out to create a forum where Prospects could discuss the latest theater offerings, while helping to tell the public about the behind-the-scenes work that makes the Prospector experience. “I truly believe that you can learn a lot from a person based on what they thought of a movie,” explains Bijhan. “I wanted to create the podcast as another avenue to connect patrons and Prospects in shared dialogue. The moments we experience together when seeing movies on the big screen are fantastic, scary, exiting, passionate, and cathartic. This podcast intends to showcase those moments we experience together.” In addition to marketing the latest movies the Theater is screening, the Podcast helps Prospects to gain valuable work experience in audio recording, engineering, and content distribution.

Experience the sparkle and magic of the Prospector Theater by joining them for a movie and popcorn! Tickets are available for sale online, via phone, or at their box office.
