GayTalk 2.0 – Episode 92 – YASU: Providing LGBT Safe Spaces With Guest Randy Colton Thomson

On today’s show we welcome Randy Colton Thomson to the show. Randy has served as an advocate for over a decade – beginning at the age of 17, while homeless, he joined the SLC Pride Center’s Youth program and immediately was asked to join the Leadership Council to organize a lobbying effort with the state legislature on issues of equality, while also simultaneously planning that year’s Queer Prom. After building over a decade of experience as a community activist, Randy founded (YASU) Youth Advocates of Southern Utah, hoping to bring at-risk and homeless youth the opportunities, resources, love, and support that he once received as a youth.

For support information he may be contacted by emailing or by phone at (435) 256-0285. The Youth Advocates for Southern Utah does amazing work to ensure a safe haven that provides essential resources and supportive services for homeless, unaccompanied, abandoned, and at-risk youth in Southern Utah and surrounding areas. Visit the Youth Advocates of Souther Utah and donate today.

On this episode’s “DISH”, Tom talks about two the Gay men that were arrested in Thailand for exposing the buttocks at a temple for a social media post. Chris gives us the scoop on the LGBTQ persecution process in Uzbekistan. Nick finally allows the other boys to borrow his soap box, yet he does inform everyone about a judges decision affecting the LGBTQ community in Brazil.
